Guidelines

Guidelines for the submission of lifestories for web publication at turningmemories.com are as follows:

1. Only memoirs or lifestories are considered. No "adult only" content will be considered.

2. Stories should be well proofed and edited for clarity and mechanics of style.

3. Soleil Lifestory staff reserves the right to choose stories based on appropriateness of subject, writing technique, and style. Minor editing for length or clarity should be expected.

4. Stories published will be copyrighted in the author's name only. Soleil Press and Soleil Lifestory Network reserve no further publication rights.

5. Authors may submit pieces at any time and will be notified as soon as possible, within a reasonable length of time, as to whether their work has been selected for web publication. Although we reserve the right to omit web publication in any given month, in general, a new story will be selected for web publication each month in conjunction with the publication of the Lifewriter's Digest e-Newsletter.

6. A brief bio, a photo of the author, and up to two photos to illustrate the piece will be requested for the web anthology. These must be submitted as JPEGs or GIFs and sent on disk or electronically.

7. Stories must be submitted in the body of an e-mail, not as attachments. They should be plainly formatted with paragraph indentations and a space (hard return) between each paragraph.

8.Please take note: Soleil Lifestory Network does not guarantee the safety of the work from plagiarism while it is available on the web site turningmemories.com. Because illegal copying of text without authorization is all too easy, Soleil Lifestory Network accepts no responsibility beyond posting the work as copyrighted in the author's name.

9. Payment is in web publication only. We do not purchase stories, and we do not solicit manuscripts.
